Frequently Asked Questions


Where do overnight campers stay?
Campers stay in the university dorms that are across the street from the gym.  (Martin Hall or Eaton Hall)

What is the age of campers?
Overnight campers:  Minimum of 8 years old
Day Campers:  Minimum of 5 years old

Are there chaperones in the dorms?
Yes, CGC will have staff staying in the dorms. ISU employees who work in the dormitories are also there each evening.

Can I pick my roommate?
Yes!  When you register for camp online, you may choose your roommate under “roommate preference” and we will do our best to get you and your friend in a room together!

Where and what time do we check-in? 
Overnight campers check-in at the dorms from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Martin Hall
Day campers check-in at room 202 in Beyer Hall

Meal Information
Breakfast, Lunch & dinner is provided for overnight campers.
DAY CAMPERS – may purchase breakfast and/ or dinner at the time of registration for any or all camp days. This cannot be done online.  Lunch is provided to daycampers.

What do I need to bring?
All campers need to bring: t-shirts, shorts, leotards, personal gymnastics equipment (ie: grips, tape, shorts, tennis shoes, bathing suit, towel & a smile :)

Overnight campers: All of the above plus - twin bed linens & pillow, toiletries, pajamas.

Will there be a camp store?  
Yes!  We will have a camp store available at particular times of the day with items such as leotards, shorts, snacks and drinks to purchase. The easiest way to control spending is to set -up a "Camp Bank Account" for your athlete. This can be done during check-in. Camp bank account money must be paid for separately from camp registration fees.

Can Day Campers participate in evening activities? 
Yes!  Day campers may leave and then come back for evening activities. The parent/ guardian MUST sign the camper in / out each time. Evening activities are from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

What NOT to bring?
Valuable jewelry, CD/DVD players, etc. or anything you don’t want to lose.  Cyclone Gymnastics Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Will there be a trainer on hand?
Cyclone Gymnastics Camp will provide a first aid responder to be on hand at all times during camp.  This person has training working with gymnastics and experience with treating gymnastics injuries.

Full Payment Required at Sign-up
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel for any reason:
100% refund (less $100) with written notification before  May 31, 2010
75% refund (less $100) with written notification May 31 – June 7, 2010
50% refund (less $100) with written notification June 7 - 12, 2010

NO REFUNDS after June 12, 2010.
